Morocco-France: Samira Sitail presents her credentials to President Macron

During a ceremony at the Élysée Palace, Samira Sitail officially presented her credentials to President Emmanuel Macron, marking her inauguration as Plenipotentiary Ambassador of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the French Republic.


Sitail's appointment had been announced on November 30th by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, thus filling a diplomatic vacancy that had persisted for several months. A graduate of the University Paris Diderot in American Language and Civilization, and with experience in communication and media, Samira Sitail has held high-level positions in the field of media and communication.

The ceremony provided President Macron with the opportunity to warmly greet the ambassador, expressing his desire to strengthen the ties between the two countries. French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Séjourné, emphasized Paris's commitment to building a partnership with Morocco over the next 30 years.

In addition to her diplomatic skills, Samira Sitail is also recognized for her involvement in social and media causes. She has notably served as the Director of Programs for the 2M channel and as the President of the Communication and Press Division during the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 22) in Marrakech in November 2016.
