From Thursday to Saturday, wind gusts reaching 75 to 100 km/h, with local dust phenomena, are expected. Rainfall is expected to range from 40 to 90 mm, accompanied by snowfall ranging from 20 to 50 cm in various areas of the kingdom.
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued an orange-level alert, warning of strong winds (85 to 100 km/h) and local dust uplift expected from Thursday at 6 p.m. to Friday at 11 p.m. The affected regions include Al Araich, Chichaoua, Al Hoceima, Tanger, Tétouan, Taounate, Fès, Ouarzazate, Ifrane, Chefchaouen, and many others.
Less intense winds (75 to 85 km/h) will also affect cities such as Salé, Kénitra, Béni Mellal, Rabat, Casablanca, El Jadida, Safi, Marrakech, and others during the same period.
Abundant thunderstorm rains (60-90 mm) are expected from Friday midnight to Saturday 10 a.m. in several provinces, including Azilal, Al Hoceima, Tanger, Tétouan, Ouarzazate, and others.
The weather alert also highlights strong thunderstorm precipitation (40-60 mm) from Friday midnight to Saturday 6 a.m. in regions such as Skhirat-Témara, Chichaoua, Essaouira, Rabat, Salé, and others.
At higher altitudes, snowfall is expected above 1700 meters in places such as Ifrane, Midelt, Tinghir, Azilal, and Béni Mellal, from Friday midnight to Saturday 6 a.m.
